Vicksburg native Attorney Kimberly Walker Nailor became City Attorney for the City of Vicksburg on December 20, 2021 after serving as City Prosecutor and Associate City Attorney since March of 2020. She also serves as Interim Human Resources Director. Prior to employment with the City of Vicksburg, Attorney Nailor operated her own law firm and served as Municipal Court Judge for the City of Port Gibson, Mississippi, Special Master for Lunacy Commitments under the Warren County Chancery Court, Ninth Judicial District Drug Court Public Defender and a Guardian Ad Litem for Youth Court and Chancery Court.

 
A 1999 graduate of Vicksburg High School, Attorney Nailor received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Pre Law from Alcorn State University graduating Summa Cum Laude. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in December of 2005. She was sworn into the practice of law on May 2, 2006.
 
She serves as a member for the following organizations and associations: Warren County Children?s Shelter, Mu Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Warren County Bar Association, Mississippi State Bar Association, Mississippi Municipal Attorneys Association, Alcorn State University Alumni Association, and the NAACP. She was honored as the Mississippi Department of Education 2023 Parent of the Year, Vicksburg Warren School District 2023 Parent of the Year, Vicksburg High School 2023 Parent of the Year,  Mountain of Faith Woman Empowering Community Honoree  in 2017, Mississippi Business Journal Leader in Law Honoree in 2015, Mississippi Business Journal Leading Businesswoman Honoree in 2014, 2013  Who?s Who Among Black Professionals in Mississippi Honoree and the 2012 Vicksburg Post?s 20 under the Age of 40 Community Leaders.

Her proudest accomplishment to date is being the proud mother of two sons, Cameron Nicholas and Brandon Christopher. They are members of Trinity Temple Baptist Church


Deputy Chief Charlie Hill has over 31 years of Law Enforcement experience on the local, state, and federal levels. His career began at the Vicksburg Police Department in 1993. From there, he served as an agent for the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, a State Trooper for the MS Highway Patrol, and a Task Force Agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration. He also served as the Director of the Sex Offender Registry for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, where he was responsible for ensuring that sex offenders for the state of Mississippi were compliant with the regulations set forth by the state of MS statute and the Deputy Director for the Criminal Information Center in Pearl, MS.
