Event Description:
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will offer three mental health education courses in Vicksburg for the Fall of 2017. Registration is ongoing. Pre-registration for all NAMI courses is required to ensure the minimum number of participants necessary for the class to be taught.
*The NAMI Family-to-Family Course for families/friends of adults with a mental illness will be taught beginning September 14th from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the conference room of Merit River Region WEST Campus, 1111 N. Frontage Rd. Pre-registration is required to reserve a book and seat.
*The NAMI BASICS Course, a 6-session program for parents of children/adolescents with emotional or behavioral issues will be available by request in October. Classes will meet twice a week from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Dates and location TBA. Pre-register to reserve a spot.
*The NAMI Peer-to-Peer Course, a 10-session program for individuals living in recovery from a mental illness, will also be available by request. Time and location TBA. Pre-register now to reserve a spot in the class and to determine that the class will make.
