Springtime is swarming time. Honey bee colonies are growing rapidly and dividing, causing problrms for beekeepers and non-beekeepers alike. Audrey Sheridan, Reesearch Associate Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Entomology & Plant Pathology, will discuss this fascinating and sometimes infuriating behavior of honey bees, as well as how to cope with or prevent swarming when it is undesired.
