- Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for assigned projects
- Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly
- Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget
- Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers
- Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables and design documentation
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements and related specifications
- Coordinates activities concerned with technical development, scheduling and testing
- Conducts analysis on product designs to quantify product performance and reliability
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases
- Interfaces with customer to provide project status reports and to ensure customer needs are met
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Responsible for all components of a small project or several complex components of a larger project
- Contributes to the team / department by applying their knowledge to one or more functional areas
- Fully developed professional able to work without direct guidance or direction from others
- Has in depth knowledge of the discipline and role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proven ability to plan and schedule
- Self-starter, able to work with little supervision
- Strong, well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to represent company with a professional image
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- B.S. degree with a concentration in Engineering or related field and 3-5 years related experience or
- Equivalent experience as a project leader (minimum 8 years related experience)
